iPad & Tablet App for Damp & Mould Surveys

In short

DampApp Pro™ is built for damp, mould and condensation specialists. It captures moisture and surface-temperature readings, calculates dew point on-device (per BS 5250) and turns your findings into a structured, reviewable report — and it runs natively offline on iPad, Android tablets and Apple Silicon Macs.

Diagnosing damp across a whole property on a small phone screen can be awkward. Whether you use an iPad Pro, an Android Galaxy Tab, or an Apple Silicon MacBook, DampApp Pro is designed to make use of the screen real estate and processing power of modern tablets and Macs.

Make the most of your iPad

Rather than a generic web app stretched to fit a tablet screen, the native build is laid out for the iPadOS and Android tablet experience.

1. Roomier moisture & psychrometric grids

Use the larger display to view high-resolution photographs alongside your moisture readings, dew-point figures and room-by-room findings, so you spend less time tabbing back and forth between the camera and your report.

2. Cross-platform hardware

Available on iOS, Android, and Apple Silicon (M-series) Macs. The bigger screen — with an optional Apple Pencil or Android stylus — makes it easier to tap through room-by-room findings, capture photos and enter moisture and surface-temperature readings accurately on site.

3. On-device psychrometrics & PDF export

Dew-point, vapour-pressure and specific-humidity calculations (aligned with BS 5250) and multi-page PDF generation all run on the device — no signal and no cloud dependency, even in a basement or a no-reception high-rise.

Frequently asked questions

Is DampApp Pro a native iPad app or a stretched web app?

It is a native app for iOS, iPadOS and Android, with a build that also runs on Apple Silicon (M-series) Macs. The layout is designed for tablet screens rather than a phone view stretched to fit, so moisture readings, psychrometric grids and photos have room to breathe on a larger display.

Does the iPad app work fully offline?

Yes. Field capture, dew-point and psychrometric calculations, photo logging and PDF generation all run on the device with no connection — so you can complete a damp and mould survey in basements, lofts and properties with poor reception. Cloud sync and backup to your own account resume once you are back online.

Can I use an Apple Pencil or stylus with it?

Yes — the app is fully touch-driven, so an Apple Pencil or Android stylus works the same way your finger does, just with finer control on a larger screen. It is handy for tapping through room-by-room findings and moisture readings and for reviewing photos at size, though no stylus is required.

Does a tablet calculate psychrometrics and generate reports faster?

Dew-point, vapour-pressure and specific-humidity calculations (aligned with BS 5250) and the PDF itself are generated entirely on the device — there is no server involved — so a more powerful tablet or Apple Silicon Mac builds a multi-page report faster. The larger screen mainly helps when reviewing photos alongside your moisture and surface-temperature readings before export.

Is there a free version to try on my iPad?

Yes. There is a free tier you can download and use to run a report, plus a few trial runs of the AI report wording. Pro unlocks a daily AI allowance and the option to add your own Google Gemini or OpenAI key.

Does it run on a Mac?

Yes — because it is a native iOS app, it also installs and runs on Apple Silicon (M-series) Macs from the App Store, using the same offline database, psychrometric tools and on-device PDF export.
